- His father, Imran, was a leader among the Israelites, and his mother was a pious woman named Yukabid.
- The Pharaoh of Egypt, fearing the growing population of Israelites, ordered the killing of all newborn Hebrew males.
- To save Musa's life, his mother placed him in a basket and set him adrift on the Nile River.
- The basket was found by the Pharaoh's daughter, Asiya, who was out for a walk along the riverbank.
- Asiya adopted Musa (AS) as her own son, and he grew up in the Pharaoh's palace.
- Musa (AS) received an excellent education and became skilled in leadership and warfare.
- Despite being raised in a palace, Musa (AS) remained connected to his Hebrew roots and was deeply concerned about the welfare of his people.
